The China National IP Administration (CNIPA) announced at its official website on June 22, 2020 that appeal against trademark rejection can be filed online as of June 28, 2020, for the purpose of improving public services for the applicants to simplify trademark prosecution.
The online appeal against trademark rejection was developed and extensively tested and improved earlier. Other types of appeal cannot be filed online yet. In addition, all the appeal decisions are available online, though the relevant parties’ evidence or arguments are not.
